Another example of the literacy coach as collaborator might involve work in a middle or high school that lacks print materials for students’ use. The coach might be responsible for leading or coleading a committee to examine and carefully select materials. This is one of the reasons that the neighboring school districts or regional educational consortiums and everyone else enter into the teacher-training act.
